Paul Clesham and Claire Fennell are both members of the 'Taobh na Mara Céili Band'. They have been playing music from a very young age and are both All-Ireland champions on many occasions on a range of musical instruments. Having studied music in Cork for a number of years, they have been playing music together for the last three years. They will be playing selections of Irish traditional music on Uilleann Pipes, Flute and Concertina at the Pécs Learning Festival. This will include a number of jigs, reels, polkas, hornpipes, barndances, slow airs and planxties. Their repertoire spans from ancient Irish melodies to contemporary compositions. Paul and Claire have spent many years exploring Irish traditional music on a broad spectrum through creative practice and research, both holding university degrees in Music.
